Of course, it would have been nice to see the PS4 receive the same sort of functionality, but then the game hasn't been updated on the system in quite some time. The portability of the Nintendo Switch is a huge draw for players, and the chance to take the masterful experience of The Witcher 3 on the go when you can't sit in front of your PC would probably tempt a few interested parties into a purchase if they own both machines. "There are no plans regarding similar functionality in the other versions of The Witcher 3." Speaking to USgamer, a CD Projekt Red spokesperson said that the ability was designed for the Switch specifically along with port studio Saber Interactive.
That functionality won't be patched into the PlayStation 4 version, however. CD Projekt Red revealed tht save files from The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt on PS4 and Xbox One wont be compatible with The Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition.
The Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got a rather nifty new feature today with its latest update, allowing players to bring over a save from the PC and continue their adventures on the go with the handheld system.
